SPEAK OUT FOR THE HUNGER STRIKERS: EMERGENCY PROTEST

    Saturday 20 December 12.30 - 1pm. Hastings town centre.

Join us on Saturday to show your support, amplify the voices of the strikers, and break the wall of silence. Support the anti-genocide hunger strikers who have been languishing in jail, in some cases more than a year. None have been found guilty of any crime. Yet they have all been denied bail and treated to repressive and inhumane conditions. We have invited the local MP and all local councillors to speak out and join us to read out letters and diary extracts from the strikers.

This short video gives a useful background to the case of the hunger strikers:
Exposed: Britain's Secret Political Prisoners (Youtube).
More information on Saturday's protest: Our Facebook event page and our Instagram page.

    HASTINGS TOWN CENTRE INFORMATION STALL

Saturday 20 December 12.00 noon until 2pm Town Centre. We will be running our weekly stall as usual. As always we will have information sheets, stickers, keffiyehs, books and badges. Christmas cards with a Palestinian theme by local artist Marta Munoz will also be on sale: all proceeds to Al-Mawasi.

    STROKES OF SOLIDARITY
    ART RAFFLE FOR PALESTINE

There's still an opportunity to buy tickets and visit all the works of art displayed at the White Rock Hotel 5 - 7pm this evening (Friday). Online tickets can be bought until midnight Saturday night. All proceeds go to the Resilience Committee in Al-Mawasi, southern Gaza. There's a great video of the display here (Facebook) and here (Instagram).

WRITE TO YOUR MP: SIGN THE EDM ON PRISONERS ON HUNGER STRIKE IN BRITAIN

Eight prisoners associated with Palestine Action are currently on hunger strike in protest over the repressive and inhumane conditions of their detention in British prisons. Their health is deteriorating quickly, so they need urgent intervention.

These prisoners are facing trial for allegedly taking action to prevent arms manufacturers from shipping weapons to Israel, used in its genocide against the Palestinian people. It is the perpetrators of genocide, and the British politicians and companies arming them, who should be facing trial. Watch the video of hunger strikers' family members discussing their case and their demands.

Early Day Motion (EDM) 2386 calls on the Secretary of State for Justice to intervene. Email your MP to ask them to sign now.

    HASTINGS AND DISTRICT PSC AGM

    Saturday 17 January 2026 2-5pm. Stade Hall, Hastings, TN34 3FJ.
Join us for our annual general meeting in January when we will hear from prominent Palestinians, review the year's work and discuss our aims and strategies for 2026.
    Speakers include:

  • Ramzy Baroud, author, academic and editor of The Palestine Chronicle
  • Fares Abulebda, author and Gaza genocide survivor

The branch is run by a committee of volunteers with three officer roles. We will be electing officers on the day and welcome anyone who wishes to come aboard the committee. We are also keen to hear ideas and suggestions for the year ahead. Over the past year our group has campaigned tirelessly against British complicity with Israeli genocide and apartheid, both locally and nationally. Today, there is a greater awareness of the injustices suffered by generations of Palestinians than ever before.

Now, at a critical moment, we will come together to discuss how to campaign most effectively and where to direct our energies and resources. But we are only as strong as the people who make up our movement so please be part of this important day. Book your free ticket here: Ticketsource.
If you wish to put your name forward for the committee or have a suggestion for the group please contact us.

NATIONAL MARCH FOR PALESTINE - HANDS OFF GAZA

Saturday 31 January 2026 12pm. Central London. Israel's genocide against the Palestinian people has not ended. Join us for the next march for Palestine to demand our government end its complicity in Israel's violence.
