STOP STARVING GAZA EMERGENCY DEMONSTRATION
Friday 1 August 6pm. Outside Muriel Matters House, Hastings TN34.
Gaza is being starved by Israel, with UK backing. Airdrops are an inadequate and dangerous distraction. We demand real action now - 2 way arms embargo, immediate and comprehensive sanctions and an end to all diplomatic, military and economic ties with the genocidal state. Share our posts: Facebook and Instagram. Video of last week's pots and pans demonstration has gained a huge amount of interest and support (with
15k likes and more than 700 comments on Facebook).
Bring your pots and pans to bang - our protests must be louder than their brutality.

HASTINGS JOINS THE GLOBAL FAST FOR GAZA
We are answering the call from Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank to join the Global Fast for Gaza. We say enough to the deliberate starvation and annihilation of the people of Gaza. We demand REAL ACTION NOW.
Like thousands across the world, we are taking part in 'rolling' fasts from home and we invite you to join us in this solidarity act to demand real action from our political leaders to break the illegal and deadly siege of Gaza. If you would like to join this action, please sign up using this form, stating the date/s you are able to commit to fasting. We are starting our action at 2pm on Friday 1st August, the same day as our pot banging protest, outside Muriel Matters House. Show you support by coming to stand with the fasters, or sign up to a fasting day.

GAZA FUNDRAISING WALK RAISES £4,300
NOW WE'RE CALLING FOR A MASSIVE TURNOUT ON 10 AUGUST TO SHOW WE WON'T BE BULLIED OFF THE STREETS
Sunday 10 August 11.00am. The Stade. Thanks to everyone who took part in the 'Walk the Seafront for Gaza' fundraiser for Hastings Friends of Al Mawasi, which raised an incredible £4,300 and brought people of all ages and backgrounds together in a meaningful act of solidarity.

It was a great shame that thugs supporting Israel's genocide chose this family-friendly event to abuse and harass walkers, and there was one violent assault on a Palestine supporter. Read our full report. But we won't be bullied off the streets - we join Hastings Friends of Al-Mawasi in calling for a huge turnout at our next fundraising walk, leaving the Stade in Hastings at 11am on Sunday 10 August and aiming to arrive at the de la Warr Pavilion at 1pm. Download a sponsorship form, visit one of our information stalls, email Hastings Friends of Al-Mawasi or visit our website for more details.
Feel free to join us for some or all of the walk - all abilities welcome - or just come down to show your support as we set off. We stand united in the face of threats and violence!

Instead, it shows us what those words truly mean for the people living them every day." The film will be shown in partnership between the Electric Palace and Hastings and District PSC.
