HASTINGS COUNCIL TO VOTE ON FRIENDSHIP LINK WITH AL-MAWASI

At the Hastings Borough Council full council meeting there will be a motion which calls for the council:
To support the friendship link between Hastings and Al Mawasi.
To call on our government to immediately halt all arms sales to Israel.
To demand an immediate ceasefire.
Nearly two years since the genocide in Gaza began we are very pleased that the council will finally be voting on a motion to take a public stand against this horror. The motion is here:
We welcome this opportunity for the council to show solidarity with our friends in Al-Mawasi. We know that this international support is extremely important to them. Join us at the council offices to attend the meeting to call on every local councillor to vote in favour of this motion The rally starts at 5.30pm, the meeting starts at 6pm.
If you can make the meeting or not, please write to your local Councillors asking them to support this motion. There's no guarantee that the motion will pass so it will be useful to make sure Councillors know your feelings. Find your Councillors here.

Saturday 19 July 12.00 noon until 2pm Town Centre. For those who can't get to Saturday's London demonstration, please visit our information stall. All the usual information, petitions, plus keffiyehs, books,and badges.
WALK THE SEAFRONT: FUNDRAISER FOR AL-MAWASI
Sunday 20 July 10.45am. The Stade. Join our sponsored walk along the seafront - a lovely opportunity to involve people of all ages in raising money and showing solidarity with the community of Al Mawasi in Gaza.
Please share with family and friends and help make this event a success for the community in Al Mawasi. If you are unable to join us for the walk, feel free to come down and show your support as we set off. Pick up a sponsorship form at one of our information stalls, at any of our events, or email us.
If you can't make it, please sponsor one of the walkers by sending a donation either by Paypal or by bank transference, details here. The walk will be from the Stade to De La Warr Pavilion, or as far as you can go.
