ISRAEL IS STARVING GAZA JOIN OUR EMPTY POT PROTEST
Friday 9 May 8.30. Meet outside Muriel Matters House TN34 3UY.
Israel imposed its total siege of Gaza on 2 March, more than two months ago. It has stopped all food and fuel from entering.
Children are dying silently, one empty stomach at a time. This is murder.
This unthinkable evil is only possible because countries like the UK continues to support Israel and our media hides the truth.
The sight of emaciated children is a call to action for everyone - we demand an end to arms to Israel, immediate sanctions and the end of all trade with the apartheid genocidal regime.
We will bang empty pots in solidarity with the empty pots in Gaza. Jointly organised by Hastings and District PSC and Hastings Jews for Justice.
Join us to make some noise - bring an empty pot and a wooden spoon to bang. Please share: Facebook
and Instagram.
LAST FRIDAY'S EMPTY POT PROTEST
Last Friday we took over the roundabout outside the town council offices to bang empty pots in protest against Israel's deliberate policy of starvation in Gaza. Since Israel's latest blockade began on March 2 more than 65,000 children have been hospitalised in Gaza due to severe malnutrition.
Thanks to everyone who took part. It shows that we refuse to be silent as children are starved to death. It's important to stand up, speak out and use our voices to end this monstrous crime.

"FLUSH IT AWAY" COCA COLA AMNESTY
Saturday 10 May 12.00 noon until 2pm Hastings Town Centre.
Join us from midday and bring your secret Coca Cola stash for a novel way to put a lid on the fizzy drink......strictly no judgements!
Coca-Cola is now a priority target of the BDS movement as it operates a distribution center in an illegal Israeli settlement, meaning it is helping to entrench Israel's military occupation and colonisation.
We are offering a one-day amnesty for all Coca Cola cans and bottles, as well as the other brands the company owns like Schweppes, Sprite, Fanta, Innocent, Appletiser, Smart Water and Costa Coffee. Don't flush with embarrassment - pay us a call on Saturday and we'll get rid of it, at your convenience!
AL-MAWASI UPDATE NO FOOD FOR PREGNANT WOMEN IN GAZA
On Sunday night our friend and main contact in Al-Mawasi messaged us to say that the community is in dire need of monetary help as food prices are getting higher every day and all they can find now is canned food. She has 6 pregnant women and 2 patients living in the community centre, and she can't find any food suitable for their needs. Where food is available the prices are often out of reach for many people especially as most people have no employment and no way of making money.
She was apologising in one of her voice messages for sharing all this and asking us for help, saying "I have dignity but at the same time I'm desperate."
We know from news reports how bad things are right now but hearing directly from our friends in Al-Mawasi shows the consequences of Israel's total blockade in real time. Please donate if you can or share our fundraising link. All our efforts, however small, make a big difference while Gaza is being starved. PayPal. Give it up for Gaza. If you prefer to pay directly into our bank account please contact us for details.
