NATIONAL BOYCOTT BARCLAYS DAY OF ACTION Saturday 26 April 11am - 1pm. Barclays Bank, 207-208 Queens Road, Hastings TN34 1QP.

Saturday will be the national Boycott Barclays Day of Action. Our protest will be one of 20+ at towns and cities throughout the UK.
Barclays Bank holds more than £1.9 billion in shares, and provides over £5.8 billion in loans and underwriting to 9 companies whose weapons, components, and military technology are being used in Israel's genocidal attacks on Palestinians. This includes £100 million invested in General Dynamics, which produces the Mk-84 2,000 pound bombs used by Israel to destroy Gaza, and Elbit Systems, which produces weaponised drones used against Gaza.

SCHOOL'S OUT FOR 'GENOCIDE' DYNAMICS
On Tuesday we launched the campaign 'Schools Out for Genocide Dynamics.' The arms company that supplies the Israeli military with 2,000 pound bombs, has been touring careers fairs at schools and colleges in East Sussex. So far we've heard that the company has visited Rye College, Bexhill College, Robertsbridge Community College, Hastings Academy and Claverham Community College.
We've found that the Careers East Sussex volunteer enterprise advisor for Claverham is an employee of the arms company. Not surprisingly then that Claverham proudly advertises General Dynamics as a link company to the school, having 'good working relationships' with them and promoting work experience and careers with the company.
This is the template email to headteachers to make clear your feelings. More information at: the Hastings Online Times,

REPORT: FREEDOM FOR ALL PASSOVER Thanks to everyone who came to the special 'Freedom for all' Passover evening organised by Hastings Jews for Justice and thanks to the team that worked so hard to make the event a success.
The 'Freedom for All' seder was started last year by an international coalition of Jews, calling for collective liberation, an end to the Israeli occupation of Palestine and declaring solidarity with the Palestinian people "not in spite of our Judaism, but because of it."
The evening was a great success, with tickets sold out weeks beforehand, and to top it all, £600 was raised for Hastings Friends of Al-Mawasi. More information about the evening at the Hastings Jews for Justice website and an article in the Hastings Observer.
ONLINE WELLBEING SESSIONS Clinical hypnotherapist Chris Dindar is running 30 min relaxation sessions to help decompress, process our emotions, and find a moment of peace and deep relaxation amidst the chaos. Chris is offering his services for free, as a token of his solidarity, to help nurture the well-being of our local group and maintain our collective resolve.
Please email Chris directly if interested in taking part. The sessions are the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month at 12 noon.
