BARCLAYS BANK: STOP BANKING ON GENOCIDE
 Saturday 11 May 11am - 1pm
Barclays Bank, Queens Road, Hastings TN34 1QP
We will be holding a die-in at the local Barclays on Saturday. Those taking part will represent medics, teachers, journalists, writers, children that have been killed by Israel in Gaza. If you don't want to be part of the die-in please still come along to support as we want as many people as possible to take part to show that we won't tolerate Barclays' support for Israel's genocide against the people of Gaza.
Barclays has increased its investments in companies supplying armaments for Israel's genocidal policies. It now stands at more than £2 billion. This includes over £100 million in General Dynamics, along with investments in Elbit, Raytheon and BAE Systems. It also provides loans and underwriting worth £6.1 billion to nine companies that supply the Israeli military.

Day Symposium Featuring Film, Talks and Workshops

To mark 76 years of the Nakba - where 750,000 Palestinians, three-quarters of the Palestinian population, fled their homeland in 1947/8 - we are holding an afternoon of talks, film and workshops. Israel's current genocide is built on the foundations of Israel's settler-colonial project that started 76 years ago.

HANDS OFF RAFAH EMERGENCY RALLY IN HASTINGS
We thought it important to raise our voices on the day that Israel launched its air and ground assault on Rafah - where 1.3 million people are sheltering. It's essential to show that we stand with the people of Gaza during this brutal, obscene onslaught.
Alongside a number of short speeches showing solidarity with the people of Gaza, we read out a message from one of our friends from Al-Mawasi presently in Rafah which include the words: "Your standing and increasing solidarity with us will certainly work to isolate this monstrous entity." Also we read a poem by a schoolgirl we know, Rahaf Alkafanah, 16, now also sheltering in Rafah.
Thanks to everyone who came to support the rally in Hastings town centre. Despite being called at such short notice we had a good turnout. Short Instagram video of the rally.
