    PLANNING & PREP MEETING
    FOR WEDNESDAY'S GENERAL DYNAMICS PROTEST

Sunday 10 March at 5.30pm at the White Rock Hotel Join us for for a one-hour meeting to plan Wednesday's peaceful protest. Included in the meeting will be a 'Know your Rights' briefing.

HASTINGS VS GENOCIDE DYNAMICS DAY OF PROTEST
    WEDNESDAY 13 MARCH 8 AM - 5 PM

General Dynamics, 100 Castleham Road, Hastings, TN38 9NJ

  • US-owned Genocide Dynamics makes all the MK-80 bombs that are being dropped on Gaza right now. It provides weapon systems and maintenance services to Israel's fleet of F-35 fighter jets which are used to target the hospitals, schools, mosques, churches and UN buildings in Gaza - using these same "bunker buster" MK-80 bombs.

  • The Hastings sites make systems for fighter jets and equipment for ground vehicles sold to Israel.

  • The company is playing a key role in the ongoing genocide and these sites in the heart of our community make us unwitting accomplices.

As a community let us take this opportunity to let General Dynamics know that we do not agree with an arms dealer in our town supporting genocide in Gaza.

We'll be there all day but we'd like a strong presence 8am - 9am, 1pm - 2pm and 4pm - 5pm when we will have speeches and leaflets for staff arriving and leaving.

By maintaining this presence we are holding General Dynamics accountable for supporting a regime committing genocide.

Come before work or after the school run. Drop down on your lunch break. Come over after school or college. Bring signs, food and hot drinks to share. Bring chalk to leave a message, print a poem to read, stream your favourite song on our PA system. Bring a camping chair, an umbrella for the rain, whatever you need, but still come.

More information: Facebook event page.  Instagram. Please share widely.

    CLOSE YOUR BARCLAYS ACCOUNT
    ON 21 MARCH

On the first PSC collective account closure day, 9 February, over 1500 people closed their bank accounts. The PSC is now asking asking everyone who still holds a Barclays account to pledge to close it on the 2nd mass account closure day, Thursday 21 March, to have the most impact. Barclays NEEDS TO KNOW that you are boycotting it, and to know why, so the PSC has set up a simple way for you to inform the bank. If you're not a Barclays customer, the request is to write to the bank to tell it you won't use any Barclays services. More information: Boycott Barclays Bank.
