RALLY FOR PALESTINE: PERMANENT CEASEFIRE NOW!

    Saturday 2 December
    12 noon

    Hastings town centre

Solidarity events are taking place across Britain this Saturday, 40 at the last count. Please join us to show our solidarity with Palestinians and demonstrate our support for their struggle for freedom.

The 'humanitarian pause' has given some respite from Israeli bombing. But it's clear that Israel intends to carry on its destruction as soon as this pause is over. The call must be for a permanent ceasefire now, and for an end to British complicity in Israeli apartheid, including through the UK-Israel arms trade.

The UN's human rights office (OHCHR) stated that a permanent ceasefire is necessary "on human rights and humanitarian grounds to bring the deaths and destruction to an end and to prevent an irreversible catastrophe for the civilians of Gaza."

After the rally (which will include messages from our friends in both northern and southern Gaza) we will visit local BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) targets. 173 Palestinian organisations have called on the international community "to impose broad boycotts and implement divestment initiatives against Israel similar to those applied to South Africa in the apartheid era."

Please share our Facebook event page.

LOCAL ARMS FACTORY FORCED INTO LOCKDOWN

One of the General Dynamics sites in Hastings was forced into lockdown as we demonstrated against its part in Israel's genocide in Gaza. We circled the site, then blocked both entrances, gave speeches, put leaflets on the cars in the car park, wrote messages in chalk on the pavement and chanted slogans such as 'General Dynamics, hear us say - how many kids have you killed today?'

A disabled and wheelchair-bound demonstrator with us was threatened with arrest for writing 'Stop Bombing' in chalk on exposed brick of the factory wall.

We refuse to stand by as Israel continues its mass, indiscriminate slaughter of innocent lives. We will keep coming back and do everything we can to disrupt the global arms trade to Israel.
