    DEMAND THAT HASTINGS COUNCIL CALLS FOR A CEASEFIRE

    Join us outside and inside the council offices. The council meeting starts at 6pm.
    When Israel started its bombing campaign against the people of Gaza, targetting the civilian population, we contacted all local councillors. Except for a handful of councillors (see article below), the silence was deafening. Now, a motion has been put forward by Green Councillors Tony Collins and Amanda Jobson, calling for 'an immediate ceasefire to allow more aid and the possibility of a peaceful resolution' This has been refused permission.

    The article refers to the Open Letter signed by 17 local organisations and individuals.

    STOP ARMING ISRAEL! THURSDAY 23 NOVEMBER 12 NOON

    General Dynamics provides weapon systems, components, and maintenance services to Israel's fleet of F-15, F-16 and F-35 fighter jets. The company manufactures the 20mm guns for F-15E fighter jets; 25mm guns for F-15, F-16, and F-35 aircraft; and 30mm "gun pods" for F-15 and F-16 aircraft.

    General Dynamics provides the Israeli military with the BLU-113 5,000 pound "bunker buster" bombs, BLU-109 "hardened penetration" bombs, and MK- 82 and 84 "general-purpose" bombs.

    VOTE FOR A CEASEFIRE - NOW
    76% of the British population (in a YouGov poll) want an immediate ceasefire. 800,000 people in London marched for a ceasefire. Wednesday evening the political classes in parliament showed their contempt for the people by voting no. Locally, people have bombarded their MPs with petitions and messages demanding a ceasefire. It's clear where we stand. Thanks to everyone who came out to our rally to once again ram home the demand that the slaughter must end.
