Vote for Palestine.

This is the time to push Palestine up the political agenda. The national PSC has launched an easy-to-use online tool so you can quiz election candidates' views on Palestine in just a few seconds.

The more emails they receive, the more they will realise the strength of support for Palestine.

Find out your candidates' views on Palestine:

The 5 questions we're asking candidates (Settlements, Gaza blockade, Arms trade with Israel, Child prisoners, UK-Israel Trade Agreement) are here: Questions and Briefings.

"Amazing! A must-watch documentary for anyone interested in understanding the truth of the Occupation and the failures of Western journalism."

"One of the most compelling and important documentaries in recent years."
John Pilger, journalist and filmmaker

Solidarity with Palestinian prisoner hunger strikers!

The Palestinian hunger strike of approximately 1,500 prisoners is now in its sixth week. The prisoners' health conditions are seriously deteriorating. Meanwhile, the corporate media stands silent. All the more reason to increase our support. To give some idea of the increasing international support for the hunger strikers, visit the Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network website.

At our weekly information stalls in Hastings town centre we've received a very positive response to our hunger strike fact sheets and posters. Our sister branch in Brighton has organised some great actions (see photo right). This Saturday 27th May, the Brighton and Hove branch will have a "solidarity tent" in the Old Steine Gardens from 11am till 4pm. More information.

National PSC is organising a day of social media action on Tuesday 30th May; also a solidarity fast & vigil outside the BBC in London. PSC action.

Please write to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, request that it urgently raises the hunger strike with Israel, and ends its violations of international law and human rights conventions in the treatment of Palestinian prisoners: Letter to FCO.

Meeting with Salma Karmi-Ayyoub.

Thanks to everyone who came to the meeting - part of the 'From Balfour to the Nakba: Week of Action.' Salma gave an overview of international law and human rights in regard to the laws that uphold the Israeli state, including the laws that amount to racial discrimination and target Israel's Palestinian population. There was a lively, wide-ranging, discussion afterwards which included the issue of the One State Solution against the Two State Solution; and the issue of anti-semitism (and its misuse). Article in the Hastings Online Times.

The Israeli Lobby and its attempts to silence the Palestinian Support movement, and now - its interference in the UK elections.

Israel lobby claims "win" over Labour manifesto changes.

Tom Suárez' book 'State of Terror,' details the extreme violence behind the setting up of the Israeli state, and the racism involved. Predictably, the pro-Israel groups have been trying to shut Tom Suarez up - to the extent of getting his meetings banned. This is part of a concerted campaign to silence the Palestine support movement. We can think of 9 meetings that have been banned over the last few months (they tried to ban one of our meetings in Hastings). Tom Suárez' account of the censorship he has faced.
