INTERNATIONAL AL-QUDS DAY RALLY
Sunday 15 March 1pm. Home Office, 2 Marsham Street, Westminster, London, SW1P 4DF.
The Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood has banned the annual pro-Palestine Al Quds Day march in London. This is the first time that a march has been banned since 2012. The Al Quds marches are allowed in New York, Sydney, Toronto and Cape Town, but not in London.
This is part of the UK government crack down on protests and civil rights. We've seen more than two thousand protesters arrested under terrorism laws for holding pieces of cardboard 'I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action,' and now the government is severely restricting the use of juries. The event is still going ahead as a 'static protest.' All the more reason for a big turnout. JOIN THE LOBBY OF PARLIAMENT - DEFEND OUR RIGHT TO PROTEST

The government plans to give police new powers to effectively ban repeat protests. Join the PSC and many civil society groups to demand MPs oppose this attack on our rights. More information and how to register.
VIGIL FOR THE SCHOOLGIRLS OF MINAB
Wednesday 18 March 6pm. Muriel Matters House, TN34 3UY.

Join us to read the names of the 165 Iranian schoolgirls from Minab killed by a US missile on the first day of this illegal and unprovoked war. These innocent children, aged between five and 12 years old, went to school on the morning of 28 February and never came home again.
Shamefully, the British media has refused to acknowledge the scale and horror of this massacre by the US, just as it has underplayed the genocide in Gaza. Just as it has failed to hold Israel accountable for the tens of thousands of innocent Palestinian and Lebanese children it has killed since 2023. We refuse the racist playbook that dehumanises and devalues non-Western lives. Every child is precious - every child deserves a future.
Join us as an emergency motion is put before the full council to finally evict weapons manufacturer General Dynamics from Hastings Council property. Organised by a new group Hastings Stop the War. Please share on Facebook and Instagram.
DONATE TO AL-MAWASI EID CELEBRATIONS

Donate by Paypal or you can also donate by online bank transfer if you send your donation marked 'Al-Mawasi' to the PSC bank account which is HPSC (Hastings Palestine Solidarity Campaign) 40-23-18 A/c 32319845

INTERNATIONAL WOMAN'S DAY FESTIVAL 2026
At last week's Women's Voice IWD festival in Hastings we had a great response to the message from a friend of ours in Gaza 'living without a home, under a piece of cloth (a tent) in the streets of Al-Mawasi, where there are no bathrooms except for a corner between the tents.' We've published the messages of solidarity that we've forewarded to women and girls in Al-Mawasi.

COUNCILLOR PLEDGE FOR PALESTINE
The PSC is asking councillors to make a commitment to uphold the rights of the Palestinian people. The PSC will be building on this momentum in the May local elections in England where we will be calling on council candidates to pledge for Palestine. There are three steps that councillors are asked to sign:
Uphold the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people; Support efforts to prevent, and ensure accountability for, Israel's crimes of genocide, military occupation, ethnic cleansing and apartheid; Ensure my council is not complicit in and does not help to normalise Israel's violations of international law, including through the council divesting pensions and any other funds it administers from complicit companies and through its procurement policies.
PLEDGE FOR PALESTINE.
