    ZOOM CALL WITH AL-MAWASI
    THURSDAY 20 NOVEMBER 1.30PM

Please join our Zoom call this Thursday 20 November at 1.30pm with our friends in Al Mawasi. These zoom calls are the best way to hear directly what is happening on the ground at the moment, and we know they value people coming to listen and showing our friendship and solidarity.
This will be a chance to find out the latest from Al-Mawasi, the situation since the 'ceasefire,' including how the recent rain and gales have affected the area. The images above are from Al-Mawasi from last Saturday.

Register in advance for this meeting. Register. here.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

DEFEND THE RIGHT TO PROTEST STALL

Saturday 22 November 12noon-2pm. Butler's Gap, George Street, Hastings.

Join us on Saturday for a Defend the Right to Protest stall at Butler's Gap in George Street.

The government has passed a succession of anti-protest laws, including the absurd ban on Palestine Action, which is due to be challenged by judicial review in the courts next week. This comes after months of challenge from the streets with massive UK-wide protests to Lift the Ban organised by Defend our Juries. Over 2,000 people have been arrested under Section 13 of the Terrorism Act for protesting this ban, including more than a dozen from Hastings.

There will be a reading of the names of children killed by Israel during the genocide, and a solidarity circle for a Lift the Ban protest.

We will also be highlighting the government's plans to bring forward extreme legislation to stop repeat protests, in a clear attack on our democratic rights. The government is now clearly trying to attack our movement for Palestinian rights to shield itself and Israel from accountability. We will be collecting signatures to encourage the two local MPs to sign the Early Day Motion in Parliament to defend our right to protest. If you can't make Saturday's protest, please sign the PSC's online petition to your MP

    NATIONAL DEMONSTRATION FOR PALESTINE

Saturday 29 November 12.00 noon. Park Lane to Whitehall.

There is no ceasefire anywhere in Palestine. Israel continues to bomb, terrorise and deprive Gaza's exhausted and traumatised population while advancing its campaign to ethnically cleanse East Jerusalem and the West Bank. The UK government remains wholly complict in the apartheid and genocide while trying to sell us the idea that there is 'peace.' More information. Catch the 10.31 Hastings train to London (no engineering works at the time of writing.). If you would like help with the train fare or would like to donate a fare, please contact us We match donors with marchers.

    ZUMBA ZUMBATHON!

Sunday 30 November 9.30-11.30am at the Y Centre St Pauls Road, TN37 6RS. £6 entrance.

Join the Sunday morning dance marathon to help raise funds for a family in Gaza that one of our members has become quite close to over the last year or so. She hopes to enable the family to purchase food, water and winter items after being displaced 7 times in that short time.

Everyone is encouraged to join in - please bring your family and friends. There's no requirement to dance for the full two hours - you can have a rest and put your feet up if you want! More information.

    WORKERS TAKING ACTION FOR PALESTINE

Organising Meeting. Wednesday 3 December 7.30pm. Isabel Blackman Centre, Winding Street.
Across the world workers are taking action against Israel's genocide in Gaza. Dock workers and airline workers have refused to load weapons bound for Israel. Millions took part in protest strikes across Italy and beyond, when Israel captured the Gaza flotilla of boats carrying aid to Palestinians.

Here in the UK we have also seen inspiring actions by workers. Bar staff in Glasgow successfully forced their employers at the Stand Comedy Club and the Glasgow Film Theatre to stop selling all products from the BDS boycott list by threatening a 'service boycott' - workers just refusing to serve these products. The union called it the 'serve solidarity' campaign and have now won support for the boycott in numerous other companies.

From shops and pubs, to schools and hospitals, workers have the power to take direct action in solidarity with the people of Gaza - the illegal occupation relies on funding and support from all over the world and we can play a part in cutting off that support. Come along to this special organising meeting about Palestine Solidarity at Work hosted by the Hastings branch of Unite the Union with the Hastings and District Palestine Solidarity Campaign. Everyone is welcome.

MEETING: PALESTINE AND IRAN: HOW ARE THEY LINKED?

Sunday 7 December 3pm. White Rock Hotel, Hastings TN34 1JU. An opportunity to understand why Iran is the only major country in the area that gives support to the Palestinian struggle for liberation. We will have a panel of two speakers based in the UK and a live link to Tehran. More information to follow.
