ALL OUT FOR PALESTINE TOMORROW!

Tomorrow we join protests around the world calling for an end to Israeli violence and ethnic cleansing at the Hastings Rally for Palestine at 12 noon outside Debenhams in Hastings Town Centre.

This week we've all seen the images of worshippers at prayer showered with tear gas cannisters and stun grenades, we've seen the violence meted out to peaceful protestors defending the residents at risk of ethnic cleansing in Sheikh Jarrah, we've watched the bombs raining down on Gazan civilians and residential buildings pulverised to the ground and we've watched rampaging mobs lynching Palestinians in the streets.

We say enough is enough!
It's time to send a powerful message to Israel and our government that we will not stand by and let this racist, apartheid state kill and maim with impunity.
On the 73rd Nakba Day we demand an end to the ongoing Nakba unfolding before our eyes.
Join the demonstration: bring your masks, your home made placards, your umbrellas and your big strong voices to make some noise.

If you can't make it please see below for our list of actions you can take to help fight Israeli impunity and aggression. Free Palestine! Free Gaza!

9 Actions you can take to fight Israeli impunity and aggression
Many of us have watched appalled by the ethnical cleansing in East Jerusalem and brutal repression by Israeli apartheid security forces.
It is easy to feel powerless in the face of such aggression, especially when our own government is complicit in supporting Israel's settler-colonialist regime and the decades-long occupation.
But everyone can do something today to challenge this complicity and support the Palestinian struggle for freedom, justice and equality.

Please write to the Foreign Office about the imminent eviction of families in Sheikh Jarrah using this template email.

And here are eight more actions.

Emergency Appeal: And here's how you can help the people of Gaza
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) has set up an emergency appeal for Gaza and the West Bank to ensure that Palestinians get the medical aid they need during this critical time.
The attacks in Gaza and the violence we have seen in East Jerusalem has happened at a time when Palestinian hospitals are already struggling to deal with the pandemic.
With your support, MAP can help ensure that hospitals have the medical resources they need right now:
MAP: donate.

How the IHRA antisemitism definition became a pro-Israel cudgel

New research charts a five-year campaign by pro-Israel lobby groups to mislead the international community about the nature of the so-called 'gold standard' definition of antisemitism.
IHRA delegates actually voted specifically to exclude all 11 examples from the definition. The working definition was restricted to the two sentences relating to hatred of Jews, without reference to Israel. Article here.
In the report, emeritus professor at Oxford University Avi Shlaim says: "A definition intended to protect Jews against antisemitism was twisted to protect the State of Israel against valid criticisms that have nothing to do with anti-Jewish racism."

Labour disclosure "shows antisemitism was weaponised against Corbyn"

Labour Activists for Justice (LA4J) have uncovered evidence that leading Jewish organisations intentionally politicised the meaning of antisemitism to entrap left-wing critics of Israel and undermine Labour's former leader, Jeremy Corbyn.
These groups waged a campaign of attacks on Corbyn over an antisemitism code of conduct drafted by the party in 2018 but are now "deafeningly silent" on discovering that Keir Starmer, Labour's new leader, has been secretly using exactly the same code. Article here.
