Benefit for MAP/Medical Aid for Palestinians raises £1,000 An evening of Palestinian food and entertainment turned out to be a great way to raise funds for MAP. Thanks to everyone who attended. With a menu of 9 dishes, great live music and a crowd that really got into the swing of things by getting up to dance, we thought the evening was a great success.
The tickets were sold out 10 days before the event. We're sorry to all those who couldn't get tickets - we're going to do another one next year - only bigger!

Saturday 5 October 15.00 (3 pm) White Rock Hotel (opposite pier), Hastings TN34 1JU Miko was raised in the heart of Israel's elite - his father served as a general in the 1967 war. But he became an outspoken critic of Israel's colonial and aggressive policies, and is today a fearless advocate of the struggle for Palestinian justice. Miko will give an account of his conversion from Israeli insider to Palestinian human rights activist and will discuss the current state of the occupation.
